Vanadium - V

Vanadium levels found in sea water are .0012 - .002 ppm

Acceptable Vanadium levels in your aquarium should be between 0.0015 - 0.01 ppm

Atomic Number: 23
Atomic Name: Vanadium
Atomic Symbol: V
Sea Water Value: 0.0012 - 0.002  ppm Specific Gravity: 6.11

Vanadium levels in your aquarium:

Many marine organisms utilize Vanadium; deficiencies can reduce growth and impair reproduction.

At .02 ppm and above enzyme function required to maintain acid-base balance in tissue through the inter-conversion of carbon dioxide and bicarbonate, and to assist the transport of carbon dioxide out of tissues, is negatively influenced. The most notable negative impact of elevated Vanadium levels is on the sea Anemone.

Maintaining natural levels of Vanadium is recommended in your system. Dosing is possible with commercially available additives and is recommended.
