Uranium levels in your aquarium:

Research has shown that up to 0.1 ppm Uranium will increase the growth of marine Amphipods by as much as 23%. At higher levels, growth rate is reduced, sex ratio is biased toward female and respiration is lower.

Maintaining natural levels of Uranium is recommended in your system and is easily achieved with regular water changes and a good quality salt mix.
